- Requires a minimum enrollment of 5 students for this class to be taught. Learn how to improve your documents by learning the intermediate features of Microsoft Word. This class will include proofing, using drawing tools, inserting special characters and graphics and creating tables. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word or the Microsoft basics class is highly recommended before taking this class.
- In this course participants will learn the basics of word processing within the environment of Microsoft Word. Topics include, screen layout, views, terminology, toolbars, page setup, magins, copying, pasting, saving, opening, editing, text formating, using bullets, and printing.
- Visio is a "graphic-objects placement program" designed for general office(and home) use. Visio allows you to quickly arrange objects (such as shapes, graphics, etc., with or without accompanying text) on a page to create graphical diagrams. There are a large number of diagram templates included with the program, such as templates for creating flow charts, organizational charts, business process designs, office space/floor designs, database models, conceptual Web designs, etc. In this session, learn how to work with shapes/graphics to create the desired design. You will add shapes to your page, and then connect, move, copy, re-size, arrange, format, etc. the shapes. Emphasis is placed on putting together designs quickly and painlessly. Plan to have fun in this session!
- Requires a minimum enrollment of 5 students for this class to be taught. Learn how to make a great presentation by learning the basics of Microsoft PowerPoint. In class we'll create PowerPoint slide shows while learning about the various PowerPoint views, entering text into slides, selecting the look and feel for your slide show, modifying formatting on an individual slide, inserting graphics, moving, copying, deleting and hiding slides. Training will also include design etiquette and presentation skills. This class does not include media effects.
- Requires a minimum enrollment of 5 students for this class to be taught. Enhance your slide shows by adding some additional features in PowerPoint. Learn how to use the slide master, add animation, add music and much more.
- This class covers the use of Outlook in our Orginization. You will learn how to navigate within Outlook, send and manage Mail, create Folders, create Appointments/Meeting Requests, Busy Search and Share calendars. We will create Contacts, Distribution Lists, Tasks, and Notes, and cover some miscellaneous features such as Signatures and Out of Office Assistant.
- Learn how to use 16 common functions and formulas such as SUM, AVERAGE, MAX, MIN, COUNT, AND, and IF functions. Training will also include nested functions, time calculations, cell and worksheet referencing.
Learn the basics of creating a spreadsheet, including Excel screen layout,
spreadsheet terminology and characteristics, data entry and editing, re-sizing columns and rows, inserting and deleting rows, columns, and cells, the AutoSum features, saving Excel files (workbooks),the AutoFormat feature, graphing and printing spreadsheets, etc. This course only covers AutoSum, Max, Min and Average calculations. Excel formulas and functions are taught in Excel Intermediate.- Learn how to create macros and Excel templates (spreadsheets and forms) for other users to use. Learn how to format a spreadsheet so that data may be reported easily and professionally. Training will also cover PivotTables, security features, advanced graphing, and filters.
